About Metal Alloy W-Cu Alloys Bar Custom Size Tungsten Copper Alloy Rod:
Tungsten-copper rod is an alloy of copper and both tungsten. Copper content in commonly-used alloys ranges from 10% to 50%. Powder metallurgy is used to prepare the alloy. The alloy has good thermal and electrical conductivity, high temperatures resistance and some plasticity. Copper in an alloy is heated to high temperatures. It can liquefy and evaporate at higher temperatures than 3000 degrees Celsius. The copper absorbs heat, and reduces its surface temperature. This material is sometimes called metal sweating.
A composite material made from tungsten and copper, Tungsten Copper is produced by high temperature sintering, static pressing and copper infiltration. This process makes good use of both the metal properties and plasticity of high purity tungsten and the high conductivity of copper powder. Excellent arc breaking ability, low thermal expansion, thermal conductivity and electrical performance.
Tungsten and copper alloy have many uses. They are used to make contacts of high voltage electrical switches. These switches can resist arc ablation. Rocket nozzle throat liners. Occasions that need high-temperature and thermal conductivity.
Resistance welding electrodes
The resistance welding electrode (select-tungsten copper WD10080): This electrode combines the best of tungsten with copper. High Voltage Discharge Tube Electrodes
Select WD10070 high-voltage discharge electrode: The temperature of the contact materials will rise by several thousand degrees Celsius when the high-voltage vacuum discharge tube is in operation. This happens within just a few seconds. The thermal conductivity is necessary for stable operation of the discharge tubes.
